Your journey to Shahdag
A mountain escape in every season. Use a current navigation service to calculate distance and driving time from your actual pickup point; static estimates can miss diversions and weather.
Choosing a suitable rental
Tell us if you are travelling during snow or freezing conditions. Winter tyres, chains and route permission must be confirmed for the actual vehicle. An SUV label alone is not a winter safety guarantee.
Planning the day
Check the forecast and current road conditions shortly before departure. Keep extra daylight in your schedule and confirm parking at your resort. Be prepared to postpone if conditions are unsuitable.
Fuel, parking and the return
Check the vehicle’s fuel specification at handover and plan refuelling before remote sections. Parking availability depends on your accommodation and stops. Confirm fuel return rules, route restrictions and an emergency contact in writing.
Request a car for this route
Send your dates, travellers, luggage and planned stops. We will confirm vehicle availability and the permitted itinerary before accepting the reservation.
Pack around the mountain stay
Winter clothes and activity equipment can take more luggage space than a city break. Tell us about skis or other large equipment before selecting the car, and ask whether carrying them is permitted in the actual vehicle. Confirm hotel access and parking separately from your activities. A mountain destination requires current weather and road checks; a reference SUV photo does not verify tyres or winter equipment.
Keep a flexible departure
Check conditions close to departure and allow room to change the plan. Ask how a delayed return should be handled before leaving Baku. If the route or weather is unsuitable, discuss a different vehicle or transport arrangement. Do not assume that all-wheel drive, chains or off-road permission come with an SUV booking. Written confirmation of route permission and equipment is part of preparing the journey.
Choose activities for the season
Shahdag promotes winter skiing and snowboarding as well as summer mountain activities such as hiking and cycling. Availability depends on the season, weather and operator arrangements. Check conditions and book any activity directly with its provider. Your rental includes neither resort tickets nor an activity reservation. Describe the exact resort or accommodation access when discussing your car.
Winter equipment is a separate confirmation
Ask which tyres and any additional equipment are supplied for your dates. An SUV badge does not prove all-wheel drive or suitable winter tyres. Agree route permission and weather contingency plans before collection. If conditions deteriorate, contact the rental provider and accommodation before continuing rather than assuming a different road is authorised.

Suggested models require route approval and suitable equipment for your travel dates; an SUV listing does not establish winter readiness.
