Bring your original driving licence and passport. Licence recognition and international driving permit requirements depend on your issuing country and the length of your stay. Check your home government’s current advice and the rental company’s written requirements before travelling.
For UK licence holders
The UK government’s Azerbaijan travel advice states that travellers need their UK licence and a 1968 international driving permit. It also describes requirements for stays over one month. At vehicle collection
Check the agreement, insurance excess, permitted routes, fuel policy and mileage. Photograph existing damage and verify the emergency contact. Every additional driver must be authorised. Keep the rental and insurance documents with the vehicle.
Regions and borders
Check current travel advice and road conditions. Some border and former conflict areas have restrictions or serious risks. Do not plan a cross-border rental trip without written company permission and confirmation of current border rules.

The country issuing your driving licence and the script used on it can affect the documents you need. Tell us the issuer, your length of stay and every intended driver before confirming. Check current recognition and international permit requirements through the relevant official authority before departure. Do not assume that an English-language licence alone resolves all requirements.
UK licence holders
Current UK government advice says UK drivers should carry their UK licence with the 1968 international driving permit, and describes a change of licence requirement after one month. Send your travel dates, pickup point, passenger and luggage details and intended route. Ask about approved drivers, mileage, insurance excess and permitted roads. Confirm the exact vehicle and documents in writing. The $200 bank-card deposit is returned within 14 days after vehicle return under the rental conditions.
Rental eligibility and delivery
Drivers must be at least 23 and have a valid driving licence. International visitors bring their original passport and licence; confirm any international permit or translation requirement for your issuing country. We can deliver the car to your hotel, apartment, airport meeting point or another agreed address. Send the location and time on WhatsApp. Any delivery charge, mileage and insurance conditions are confirmed in your written quote. Every car requires a separate $200 bank-card deposit, refunded within 14 days after return under the rental conditions.
